Yealink T40 Programming Instructions

Before we begin, make sure the T40G VoIP Phone is powered up and connected to your network.

  1. Press the OK key on the phone and the IP address will be shown on the LCD screen.
  2. If you do not see an IP Address, check that the T40G voip phone is properly connected to the network.
  3. Using a browser, enter the IP Address in the URL address bar and hit enter.
  4. Enter ‘admin’ for the Username and password on the login page.
  5. Once logged in, press the ACCOUNT tab, then select Account1
  6. Select ‘Enabled’ from the Line Active pull down menu
  7. Enter an appropriate name in the Label field – this is shown on the top right corner of the phone.
  8. Enter an appropriate name in the Display Name field – this is shown beside the ‘line’ button on the phone.
  9. Enter your SEP Username (e.g. 32104123) in the Register Name and User Name fields.
  10. Enter your SEP Password in the Password field.
  11. Enter the name or IP address of the SIP Server (e.g. accNum.server.com)  in the Server Host field.
  12. Press the Advanced menu label on the left
  13. In the RPort field, select ‘Enabled’.
  14. Enter the dialing string (* + extNum, e.g. '*101' if you are extension 101) to access the voicemail system into the Voice Mail field.
  15. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Confirm’.

At this point, the Yealink T40G VoIP Phone should display the value you entered in the Label field on the upper left corner of the LCD and the account’s Line Button.
